Did the Secret Work?

I’ve been giving the secret a try for exactly one month today. I really thought that the secret would manifest me a new living room set which I desperately wanted. I also wanted to learn how to use proper “The Secret” phrases, instead of “manifest me”, but “The Secret” didn’t even manifest me “The Secret” book. I didn’t get in traffic jams any less, but I did learn the following:

  • It’s good to have goals. The biggest thing that “The Secret” did for me was to really solidify what I did & didn’t want, especially in my relationships. This way when it seemed like I should settle, I just looked at my dream board & thought “Oh yeah”.
  • It’s nice to believe again. I’ve become so cynical. Life has become boring. I just accepted that I was a grown up now & all the magic was gone. Now I believe that good things will happen to me.
  • It didn’t hurt anything. While I didn’t get what I want, I will keep trying this at least until the beginning of September. It can’t hurt.

  1. Dude, you sound desperate, and you certainly don’t sound like you believe! You get exactly what you expect to get, and based on your words, you don’t expect (believe, feel, see) alot……. don’t be so (quote) ‘desperate’! Until you can start using more empowering words in your blog……………keep reading the secret, or starting reading more about the law of attraction.

    Cheers

  3. Like I said in an earlier post I haven’t read The Secret.
It is important to have a positive outlook so you don’t get depressed. But what if the positive out look just helps you see what you already have and how great some of it?
Also, I have noticed that when I’m depressed I’m less likely to put forth the effort to grow my business or even clean the apartment. But when I’m okay with the idea of working a bunch then I have more energy to go out and find work and to do the work that comes my way.
I’d be wary of anything that promises to make a dining room set or house appear out of nowhere. But that ’s just me.
