Everybody has a story
There used to be a segment on the Saturday news about getting to know an average person. The idea behind it was that everyone has a story, but most people will never get to tell their story. The reporter would travel to a town, open up a phone book, call that person & ask if they wanted to be interviewed. It was amazing to see that everyone does in fact have a story. The interviewee would then throw a dart at a map & the reporter would travel to that town, to find more stories. It really got me thinking about all the people in the world who I would never meet, & everyone’s stories I would never hear.
That’s the cool thing about the blogosphere, we all get to share our stories, & other people have to read them :P. So I had heard that Tyler Cruz was offering free links from his pr5 blog to anyone who reviewed his site. I had been to his blog, & heard people talk about Tyler Cruz, but I’d never visited his “About Me” page before & read his story. First off, he’s a year younger than I am & more successful than I am, but I’ll forgive him for that. He’s Canadian, & there’s no way I can hate a Canadian. Actually he’s a likeable guy, & it’s nice to see the entrepreneur perspective from someone so young.
He originally started a site called Movie-Vault & made $45 one month. We all know how exciting that first check can be. He recently made over $23,000 from just brokering a domain name, that’s really coming a long ways. His goal is to make $25,000-$30,000 per month from his websites, & I think he has a good shot at it. I think my favorite thing about his site was the “About Me” page, it was a lot more comprehensive then most About pages & really told a story. I have learned my lesson, I will definitely be reading more About pages to really get people’s stories.
