Impossible Goal Time
Well, it’s experiment time again. I am calling this one the carnival of EWWW because I just need to get everything done that I have been putting off forever. I haven’t been focusing on SEO as much, but I really want that google toolbar to be reading a page rank of 5 or like 12
during the next few PR updates. I know PR doesn’t mean anything, but I just want to see if I can do it. The thing about blogging is that I thankfully have so much work that I can’t keep up with much else. So, I’m going to try to get a whole bunch of stuff out of the way this month.
1. I want to submit to 300 directories. I don’t want to pay anyone to do this. I’ve never done this because I was concentrating on getting listed in Google & once I was there, other places would pick me up. However, these links from directories are still links to my site, even if they are pretty irrelevant.
2. I want to organize the experiments. This doesn’t help SEO, but it makes me think EWWW when I think about it, so it’s going on the list. Organization is not my strong point.
3. I want to post at least one post a week where I link out to other people. I want to keep track of how many people will link back, & how many people I can just make happier.
4. I want to see if article submission helps me. I’ve never tried this, so I don’t know what would be reasonable to expect. I don’t know what to set the number at. I guess 7 articles, although a million seems more accurate.
5. I want…this is a lot of me wanting. I want to try more blog carnivals, I’ll put the goal at 63 entries for the month. I would even like to host one if I can get my hands on it.
6. Take care of housekeeping. With so many blogs, there are a few things that need to be finished, like add copyright notices. It would probably take me about 5 seconds, & then I could stop thinking about it all the time. I basically have to put everything on this list because I can’t do anything without gratification.
That’s quite the laundry list, but it is the time for impossible goals.
Well those are some lofty goals, I’ll see what I can get done. So whether you’re focused on your business, or jsut improving your life, go out & get some goals.
